About the Artist

Steve Johnson lives and works in Paris, Kentucky. Steve began his artist's journey only 9 years ago after retiring from a job with the public school system. He was inspired to sculpt after attending a class, which was offered here at the Kentucky Horse Park and hosted by the American Association of Equine Artists. Since then he has not only perfected his sculpture technique but has also learned to mold and cast his sculptures by working in a local foundry for 6 years.
