KHPF Trail Ride

Due to the risk of lightning and thunderstorms throughout the day on Saturday, September 12th, the 2026 Fall Trail Ride has been CANCELLED

Explore the Kentucky Horse Park at the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation Trail Ride! Guests of all levels, breeds, and disciplines are invited to explore the Park grounds with their own horse for a $45 entry fee, which includes access to the trails from 9 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Spring 2026 Trail Ride will be held on Saturday, June 6th.

Event Details

  • One rider per horse.
  • All riders must check in at the registration tent before mounting.
  • All horses entering the Kentucky Horse Park grounds must have a valid proof of a negative Coggins test (within 12 months). A 30-day certificate of veterinary inspection is required for all horses arriving from outside the state of Kentucky. All horses considered Kentucky-based must have a certificate of veterinary inspection dated within 12 months.
  • No galloping or jumping is permitted.
  • Riders can ride the trail any time on the day of the event.
  • Trail ride held rain or shine! (No refunds).
  • Parking for the KHPF Trail Ride will be adjacent to the Alltech Arena Parking Lot.
  • Trails will be marked, and a QR code with a map will be available.
  • Helmets are required to be worn while mounted for anyone under 18 years of age.
  • Saddles are required for all horses.

Registration

Riders can register online (form posted below) or at the Registration Tent on the day of the event. Check-in will start at 9 a.m. Registration is $45.

By completing this registration form, riders agree to terms of the KHPF Trail Ride Waiver and opt-in to KHP Foundation emails.
